Generally, business system analysts are professionals who have knowledge in both IT and business. The responsibilities of a business system analyst include the planning, implementation and management of multi-computer systems within a business organization. He or she is also responsible for assessing and documenting the needs of individual departments within the organization. The activities of a business system analyst depend on the needs of the business they are trying to analyze. It is their job to determine the underlying problems within each department and suggest possible solutions so that the organization will be able to reach its goals without much difficulty while sticking to the company’s policies and work ethics.

Although many activities related to business systems analysis involves computers and systems, it is important to take note that determining the right system and the correct configuration of computers that best suit a particular organization so that it can efficiently perform the required tasks is the true challenge in the profession.
